1. Principle of biological deodorization process

In the multi-stage biological filter bed, the odor is degraded by a variety of microorganisms through gas-liquid and liquid-solid mass transfer.
The sulfur-containing series of odors are oxidized and decomposed into S, SO32-, and SO42-. The function of sulfur-oxidizing bacteria is to remove sulfur compounds such as hydrogen sulfide, methyl mercaptan, and methyl sulfur.
The nitrogen-containing series of odors are oxidized and decomposed into NH4+, NO2-, and NO3-. The role of nitrogen-forming bacteria such as digestive bacteria is to remove nitrogen from the odor components.

When the odorous gas is NH3, ammonia first reacts with water to generate ammonia water, and then is converted into nitric acid through nitrification by nitrite bacteria and nitrate bacteria under aerobic conditions. Under facultative anaerobic conditions, nitrate reducing bacteria reduce nitrate to nitrogen.

3. Characteristics of biological purification equipment
